Hot Milk by Deborah Levy

A portfolio piece of my favourite book Hot Milk. Deborah Levy's beautiful novel follows the tangled, ancient love between a mother and daughter one surreal Spanish summer. I wanted the illustration to feel like the sketchy, nostalgic feeling of summer with female bodies dissolving into deep sea history. The fragmentation and cut limbs mirrors the prose which blurs identities and half-remembers where one woman ends and another begins.
